Rosie is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Some Shape, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for photographers and visual artists who want a quiet portfolio site. The demo is a photographer and artist: a home page led by the line "creating beautiful imagery is my thing", a Portfolio page of selected projects with four project pages behind it and a gallery-representation note, an About page with what-drives-me, how-I-work and an FAQ (prints, sessions, approach), a Contact page, and privacy, terms and 404 pages. The old listing had the audience right but described a four-page site with an online store, which this is not; there is no shop and there are eleven page layouts.
What you get
- Eleven page layouts: Home, About, Portfolio, four project pages, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and 404, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
- A portfolio index and a project page layout you duplicate per series, with a scrolling banner, a my-process section, testimonials and an FAQ
- An About page with a working-method section and an FAQ for print and session enquiries
- A blue, green, brown and white palette with expressive typography, changeable in the Squarespace style editor
- SquareKicker magnetic motion, scroll effects and a section slider, editable while the extension is active
- A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suits
Fine-art, editorial and portrait photographers, painters and illustrators, and small creative studios that need a calm portfolio with a handful of project pages. The structure (portfolio, projects, about, contact) also works for an architect or ceramicist with new imagery.
Honest limits
There is no shop: to sell prints you add Squarespace commerce. There is no blog page in the demo, so add one from the Squarespace page menu if you write. Booking a session goes through the contact form unless you embed Acuity or Calendly. Four project pages is a starting point; a photographer with twenty series will be duplicating pages for a while. The magnetic motion and section slider are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing.
How it is delivered
SquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.
