Rowan

Rowan is a Squarespace 7.1 template by GoLive built for photographers and videographers. The demo is a photographer offering lifestyle, portrait, travel and wedding work: an editorial hero with the studio name and founding year, an offerings strip, a how-we-work section, kind words from clients and a book-now prompt. The palette is warm neutrals and black, and the type is large and editorial rather than minimal.

Who it suits

Wedding, portrait and lifestyle photographers who book clients through their site and want a blog to keep it fresh. The three portfolio layouts let you group by genre or by client, and the Information page is the right place for packages. Videographers and small creative studios can use it as is. It is more personality-led than GoLive's Daye or Opulence, which suits a photographer whose name is the brand.

Honest limits

There is no client gallery, proofing or print sales; Rowan is the marketing site and you will still need Pic-Time, Pixieset or similar for delivery. There is no shop and no built-in scheduling, so booking is a form unless you embed Acuity. Image-heavy portfolios need care with file sizes to keep Squarespace pages quick. GoLive's sales pages are templated, so judge the template from its demo rather than the sales copy.

How it is delivered

Within 24 hours of purchase GoLive send a contributor invite to a new Squarespace trial site with Rowan installed. If you already have a Squarespace 7.1 site they can install the pages into it as a paid add-on. You customise fonts, colours, images and text in the standard editor, then subscribe to a plan when you are ready to publish. GoLive customers get an extended six-month Squarespace trial and 20 per cent off the first year of an annual plan.
