Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Websites By Elise, designed for churches and faith communities. The demo is warm and welcoming rather than corporate, with worship, ministries, events, sermons, donate and plan-your-visit pages, and the practical win is that events and sign-ups are handled with Squarespace's own tools rather than a separate service.

Who it suits

Churches, chapels and faith groups of any size that want a friendly first impression for newcomers and a simple way for members to see what is on. It suits a volunteer editor: the structure is conventional and the pages are named for what they do. A secular charity could use the bones, but see the caveat below.

One honest caveat

The template is built for faith organisations, so a secular charity will be rewriting most of the demo content, from the ministries page to the sermon archive. Registration forms are Squarespace forms, which collect names and emails but do not handle ticketing or capacity limits, so for those you would add a booking plugin. Donations use Squarespace's donation block, which needs a Core plan or higher (Business or Commerce on older plans) and a connected Stripe or PayPal account.

What is included

Twelve pages: Home, About, Worship, Ministries, Events, Sermons, Donate, Plan Your Visit, Contact, a custom 404, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Sections include a hero, welcome, ministries, upcoming events, sermons, donate calls to action and a contact form. Elise offers a done-for-you installation into an existing Squarespace 7.1 site as an add-on at checkout.
