Scarlet is a Squarespace 7.1 template by The Creative Motif, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for creative teachers and coaches: artists who teach classes, run workshops and coach other creatives. The demo is a calligraphy artist who teaches ink and foil: a creative-teacher-coach hero, an endless-possibilities introduction, a ready-to-level-up prompt, a meet-Scarlet section, an on-the-blog strip and a stay-in-the-loop sign-up, with a Learn page listing free beginner classes and a course hub, a Coaching page with group and one-to-one offers, About, Blog and Contact. The old listing had the audience roughly right but described a generic education site with resources and courses pages that are not what the demo contains.
What you get
- Six pages: Home, Learn, Coaching, About, Blog and Contact, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
- A Learn page laid out for free intro classes and a paid course hub, and a Coaching page for a group programme and a one-to-one offer with what's-included lists
- Testimonials, a blog for tutorials and a newsletter sign-up repeated across pages
- A brown, neutral and white palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
- SquareKicker scroll effects and animation settings, editable while the extension is active
- A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suits
Calligraphers, illustrators, painters, potters, makers and other creatives who teach online or in person and sell coaching alongside, plus art tutors and craft workshop hosts. The structure (learn, coach, about, blog) is simple enough that a music teacher or a writing coach could use it with new imagery.
Honest limits
Course pages sell but do not deliver: to host lessons you add Squarespace Courses or an external platform on a plan that supports digital products, and to sell coaching you add Squarespace commerce or a payment link. There is no scheduling for workshops or calls; embed Acuity or Calendly. There is no shop for prints or supplies without commerce. Six pages is lean, which is a virtue for a solo teacher and a limit for a school. The scroll effects are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing.
How it is delivered
SquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.
