What Shelley is

Shelley is a Squarespace 7.1 Fluid Engine template by Big Cat Creative that the vendor describes as soft yet contemporary. The demo is a photography studio selling brand shoots, couple shoots and portraits, with a neutral palette, muted green and brown accents, thin serif headings and a scrolling "book a photoshoot" marquee. Big Cat Creative also lists small businesses, service providers, bloggers and creatives as good fits. The old listing on this site counted four pages; the vendor lists seven and the demo confirms them.

The pages and sections you get

The seven pages are Home, About, Services, Info, Portfolio, Blog and Contact, with Contact reached from a button in the header. The home page runs a hero, four gallery tiles, the marquee, three numbered services, a testimonial carousel with read-more links, a behind-the-lens bio and a recent work strip. Services lists the three offers with learn-more links and adds a workshops block, and Info is the single-service detail page with a what's included list and numbered process steps. About carries the founder bio, a motto quote, fun facts and favourite things, Portfolio is a grid of six galleries, and Contact pairs a form with contact details and a free download. The footer has a newsletter giveaway sign-up. Matching sales page, shop, podcast, freebie and Instagram links layouts are sold separately as add-ons.

Who it suits

I would point a portrait, brand or couples photographer at Shelley first, and anyone who wants a warm, personal studio feel rather than a stark editorial one. The Services and Info pairing also works for a stylist, florist or other service business that sells a handful of packages.

One honest caveat

Shelley is a new release, so there are no customer sites in the vendor's showcase yet, only the demos. Like the rest of the Big Cat Creative range it has no shop in the base build and no client gallery, proofing or booking, so image delivery and scheduling need separate tools. The giveaway sign-up in the footer is a newsletter block that needs a storage connection before it works.

Setup and what is included

Shelley is native Squarespace 7.1, edited with the standard editor and site styles panel, with no code to maintain. Big Cat Creative publishes three reworked demos (Shelley Blush, Shelley Bold and Shelley Classic) that show how far the colours, fonts and imagery can be pushed. Purchase includes delivery within 48 hours as a new site or an install into your existing 7.1 site, step by step video tutorials, a prep and branding guide, a copywriting workbook, editable Canva graphics, an SEO checklist and launch guide, and email support. The vendor recommends the Core plan because some of its templates use custom CSS.
