The View is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store, credited there to Altitude, and it is a hotel and serviced apartments site rather than the estate agent listing template older listings described. The demo is a boutique aparthotel: a full-width hero with a book-now button, an escape-to-elegance introduction, a studios and apartments grid, an eat-and-drink section, things to do, a pool and gym block, a subscribe strip and a room page example with room details and other rooms. SquareKicker's own pitch names hotels, Airbnb hosts, real estate and travel agencies, and the layout will stretch to a holiday let or a small portfolio of rentals.

What you get

  • Nine page layouts: Home, About Us, Studios and Apartments, Room Page, Drink and Dine, Pool and Gym, Things To Do, FAQs and Contact, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
  • Nineteen SquareKicker sections including hero, hero card, studio listings, bedrooms, room details, other rooms, eat and drink, things to do, video, subscribe, FAQ and contact
  • A room page layout you duplicate per room or apartment, with a booking call to action in the header
  • A green, orange, white and brown palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
  • A SquareKicker desktop overlay menu
  • A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial

Who it suits

Boutique hotels, aparthotels, serviced apartment operators, holiday lets and Airbnb hosts with a handful of units, plus small guest houses that want a rooms grid, a dining page and a things-to-do page. A letting agent with a short list of properties could use the studio listings section for rentals, but it is a hospitality layout at heart.

Honest limits

There is no booking engine: the book-now button links to whatever you use (Squarespace Scheduling, a channel manager or a direct-booking widget), and there is no availability calendar. Rooms are hand-built pages, not a database, so an operator with dozens of units will find upkeep tedious. There is no property search or filtering, which is what a real estate agency actually needs, so treat the real estate label loosely. The overlay menu is a SquareKicker feature that needs a subscription to keep editing after the trial.

How it is delivered

SquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.

FAQs

FAQs

Who is The View designed for?
It is a hotel and serviced apartments template. The demo is a boutique aparthotel with a rooms grid, a room page, dining, pool and gym and things-to-do pages. SquareKicker also suggests Airbnb hosts, real estate and travel agencies.
What pages are included?
Nine layouts: Home, About Us, Studios and Apartments, Room Page, Drink and Dine, Pool and Gym, Things To Do, FAQs and Contact, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine.
Is The View a real estate listings template?
Not really. Older listings described property search and listings, but there is no search or filtering. It is a hospitality layout; a small rental portfolio can reuse the listings section.
Does it include online booking?
No. The book-now button links to your own booking system or a channel manager widget; there is no availability calendar built in.
Do I need a SquareKicker subscription to use the template?
No. The template is a one-off purchase and it comes with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial. The template's animations are SquareKicker features, so to keep editing them after the trial you need a SquareKicker subscription; the styling itself stays on the site. You do need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish.
How is the template installed?
Through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site, in a few clicks, keeping or replacing your existing site styles.
