Tree Huggers is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by Jen Maher. It is a one-page site for a band or musician for hire, and the demo is an acoustic jazz group: a hero that says Acoustic Jazz Musicians Available for Hire, a Listen section with five audio players (SoundCloud embeds and Squarespace audio blocks), a Follow Our Journey Instagram feed, a Book section with an enquiry form, and a Promotional Images and Printable Resume block that works as a press kit. The header is four anchors, Press Kit, Listen, Follow and Book, so the whole site is a scrolling pitch to a booker.
What you get
- One page layout with anchored Listen, Follow, Book and Press Kit sections
- Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
- Audio blocks and SoundCloud embeds for tracks, and a gallery section for promotional images
- A booking enquiry form built on the standard Squarespace form block
- An Instagram gallery block that connects to your account after install
- Social links for Instagram, TikTok, SoundCloud and YouTube, with a neutral, pink, brown and green palette set in the style editor
Who it suits
Function bands, jazz trios, wedding and corporate musicians, solo singers, DJs and any performer whose site exists to get booked. Jen Maher also lists actors and models, and the press kit section does suit them. It is deliberately simple: a booker can hear you, see you and enquire without leaving the page.
Honest limits
There is no gig calendar, no ticket sales and no shop for merch or music; a touring band with dates to sell needs a Bandsintown embed or a different template. There is no blog. The Instagram block needs a connected account and the SoundCloud embeds need your own tracks, so the Listen section is empty until you have recordings online. One page means one page: an EPK with bios for each member, tech riders and stage plots would live in the PDF resume rather than on the site. And the smooth scroll and scroll effects are SquareKicker Extension features, so keep the subscription if you want to keep editing them after the 30-day trial.
How it is delivered
SquareKicker templates install onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site the moment you buy, with a choice of Use Template Styles or Keep Existing Styles, so it can go onto a live site without wiping your fonts and colours. It is a one-off purchase for one site (a new licence per client project), no SquareKicker subscription is needed to keep using it, and a 30-day trial of the SquareKicker Extension and 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan are included. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.
