Who Ventura is built for

Ventura is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Big Cat Creative for coaches, bloggers, service providers and creatives who lead with their own personality. The demo home page is essentially a personal brand pitch: a welcome, a brand message, an "about me" block and a free download, with services and a portfolio in support. The old listing described Ventura as a portfolio template for artists and designers with dynamic galleries; the portfolio is one page among seven, and the emphasis is on the person and the offer rather than the gallery.

The pages and sections you get

The seven pages are Home, About, Services, Info, Blog, Portfolio and Contact (labelled "Get in Touch" in the demo). The home page runs a hero, a brand message block, a "here's the thing" positioning section, an about block, a free download newsletter signup, a recent posts summary and an Instagram-style gallery. Services has two service blocks with testimonials and an FAQ accordion; Info is a single-offer page with how it works, what's included and testimonials; Portfolio is a project index and the Blog works out of the box. There is no shop in the base build. Matching shop, sales page, podcast, freebie and link page layouts exist, but they are sold separately as add-ons; the demo site carries them off the main navigation.

Design and customisation notes

Ventura is built on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine sections, so every layout is edited with the native drag and drop editor and site styles panel; there is no plugin or code to maintain. Big Cat Creative publishes reworked demos of the same template (Ventura Bold, Ventura Dark, Ventura Neutral) to show how far the colours, fonts and imagery can be pushed, which I find a more honest demonstration of flexibility than a list of adjectives. Purchase includes delivery within 48 hours as a new site or an install into your existing 7.1 site, step by step video tutorials, a Squarespace resource library, editable Canva graphics, a copywriting workbook with AI prompts, an SEO checklist and a launch guide. Ventura is modern and fresh with playful layering, overlapping images and graphic shapes; the Dark and Neutral variants show it as a moodier or a more minimal site.

One honest caveat

If you mainly want a gallery-led portfolio, Ventura is the wrong pick from this range; the portfolio page is a simple project index and the home page barely shows work. It is a personal brand and offers site first. As with all Big Cat Creative demos, the copy is placeholder and the newsletter block needs a storage connection before it does anything.
